【摘要】:ThispartofBS6349givesguidanceandrecommendationsongeneralcriteriarelevanttotheplanning,design,constructionandmaintenanceofstructuressetinthemaritimeenvironment.Thispartofthecodeisarrangedonatopicalbasis.Section2discussesenvironmentalfactors,inwhichtheenvironmentistakeninitsbroadersensetoincludeallnaturallyoccurringphenomenalikelytobefoundatacoastalsiteandguidanceisgivenonmethodsofinvestigatingandquantifyingtheireffects.Section3givesprominencetotheneedtoconsideroperationalrequirementsthroughouttheplanningofmaritimeworks,althoughonlylimitedguidanceisgivenonsomegeneralaspectsbecausethedetailedfunctionalrequirementsofindividualstructuresarebeyondthescopeofthispartofthiscode.Section4discussesseastateandgivesguidanceonthecharacteristics,prediction,recordingandeffectofwaves.Section5dealswiththeselectionandevaluationofdesignloadingsarisingfromtheenvironmentalandoperationaleffectsdiscussedintheprevioussections,takingdueaccountofdynamicresponseandfatigue.Section6discussesgeotechnicalaspects,includinggroundinvestigations,soilparameters,andgeotechnicaldesignrequirements.Section7givesguidanceontheuseandspecificationofappropriatematerialsandprotectivemeasures.
